Why People Choose Silk Bridge

Cross-border situations have real complexity. The courses here are built around that complexity, not around simplified answers that may not fit your circumstances.

Dual-Jurisdiction Focus

Every module is built around the Hong Kong–mainland interface specifically. You won't find generic financial education repackaged here.

Education, Not Advice

Each course builds understanding rather than prescribing solutions. You leave better equipped to work with qualified professionals in both jurisdictions.

Structured Learning Path

Programmes are sequenced so that each course builds on what came before. You can start at the level that fits where you are.

Family-Centred Approach

The more advanced programmes address the human side of cross-border planning — the conversations families need to have, not just the structures they might use.

Self-Paced, Professionally Informed

Work through materials at your own pace. Content is informed by practitioners with experience in both Hong Kong and mainland regulatory environments.

Practical Outputs

The Family Cross-Border Planning Programme includes a written family map — a concrete document you can share with advisers and family members alike.

Frequently Asked Questions

Some of the questions people ask before deciding whether a Silk Bridge course is right for them.

Who are these courses for?
The courses are designed for Hong Kong residents with assets or family connections on the mainland, and for mainland residents who hold, or are considering holding, assets or property in Hong Kong. They are also suitable for those who have children studying, working, or settled on the other side of the border.
Are the courses available in Cantonese or Mandarin?
Course materials are currently delivered in English. Supplementary reference documents in Traditional Chinese are included for selected modules, and we are developing Mandarin-language materials for future release. Please contact us if language accessibility is a concern — we are happy to discuss what is available.
Do the courses provide financial or legal advice?
No. Silk Bridge courses are structured education, not regulated advice. They are designed to help you understand the landscape clearly so that you can engage more productively with solicitors, tax advisers, and financial planners who are qualified in both jurisdictions. We point clearly toward the professionals you will want to consult for your own circumstances.
How are the courses delivered?
Courses are self-paced with structured weekly modules. Each programme also includes optional live Q&A sessions where participants can raise questions with the course facilitators. All materials are accessible online, and there is no requirement to attend in person.
Which programme should I start with?
If you are relatively new to cross-border asset questions, Cross-Border Wealth Basics is the natural starting point. If you already understand the documentation and remittance landscape and want to think about structures and succession, Structuring Across Jurisdictions is appropriate. The Family Cross-Border Planning Programme is best approached after completing one of the earlier programmes, though it can also work as a standalone for those whose primary concern is family estate planning.
What is the refund policy?
We offer a full refund within seven days of enrolment, provided that fewer than two modules have been accessed. After that point, we are unable to issue refunds. Please review the full terms on our Terms & Conditions page before enrolling.
